Let us first turn to the talking about drivelessness, but we have to answer the question beforehand: “Are there even anerotic people, men and women of a post pubic age without any desire for sexual activities?” It is often said about someone, even male but especially female persons who don’t have any sexual desires whatsoever. They be called asexual, anerotic or how one could also say “atropic” [i haven’t found any reference for that word…maybe he meant “atrophic”?]; It is not uncommon that such claims are made by relatives of those people. It is also not uncommon to claim from people who are celibate -something that is from a standpoint of biological and psychological factors something that goes against nature- that they have no sexual feelings

Remind me - how long has ace exclusionary discourse existed?
Edward Gorey confirmed his asexuality in an interview in 1980. (You can find it online, or published in the book Ascending Peculiarity.) That’s 38 years ago an interviewer just casually chatted with a celebrity on how his asexuality impacted his work.
This isn’t new stuff by a longshot.
Also just because people weren’t out and loud about it doesn’t mean there ace people didn’t exist?? Given how much discourse there is about asexuality even now can you blame people?? Asexuality isn’t new. Ace people have always been there, they’re only now getting some of the acceptance and awareness that it’s okay to be asexual and goddamn if I’ll let that get erased or marred. Let people do what they want. It’s not up to you to understand it. The only people who don’t need LGBT support are heterosexual people because they’re affirmed in their sexuality everyday and in media. It’s the norm.
